The Spider Plant (chlorophyte Como sum) is considered one of the most adaptable and easiest houseplants to grow. This plant can grow in a wide range of conditions and has very few problems. The Spider Plant gets its name because of its spider-like shoots, or spiderettes, which dangle down from the mother plant like spiders on a web. Available in green or variegated varieties, these spiderettes start out as small white flowers and can be clipped off to start new spider plants very easily.
